The Mallee CMA has an exciting 8 month employment opportunity for somebody to take up a position as an Indigenous Community Engagement Officer. 

This important position is based in Mildura and involves working with supportive CMA staff and Traditional Owners across the Mallee landscape. The primary objective of the team is to support the inclusion of traditional knowledge into the management of natural resources on our land.

The successful applicant will have a chance to build meaningful, strong relationships with elders and community across the region. A willingness to build new skills is critical, as the successful applicant will be provided with many development opportunities, including office based skills such as computer use and cultural skills such as identification and protection of cultural heritage on country. 

Please note, this is an identified position, open only to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.  

This position is available on a fixed term 8 month basis (extension subject to funding). The position is classified from Band 4 with a salary range of $45,063.41 - $48,172.21 dependent on qualification and experience, plus 9.5% superannuation.
