Recruitment Process

1 The Position Description

Our position descriptions detail the purpose and core capabilities required to perform the role.  The core capabilities are part of our Capability Framework that aligns our staff capability to the Mallee Regional Catchment Strategy and Corporate Plan allowing us to deliver the strategic needs of our organisation.

Other information includes the relevant licenses, qualifications, certificates or specific job requirements needed to perform the role.

2 Application Process

To apply, provide a brief statement demonstrating your experience, skills, knowledge and ability to perform all the Core Capabilities of the role.  A current Resume with relevant skills and experience and how these relate to the Core Capabilities and Licenses, Qualifications and Certificates including a cover letter is required.

3 Interviews

If you meet the core capabilities, you will be contacted to arrange an interview either over the phone or in person. Interviews provide an opportunity for us to share information about the role, to learn more about you and give you the opportunity to learn about our organisation.  During the interview we will discuss health and conflict of interest requirements.

4 Reference Check

Your resume should include two professional referees that we may contact to verify your experience and suitability for the role.  We will confirm details discussed in your interview so previous supervisors and/or managers tend to be the most suitable referees.

5 Offer and acceptance

If successful, you will be verbally offered the position and provided with more information about the salary package.  This will give you the opportunity to discuss in further detail any employment queries you may have.  If you accept the offer, you will be provided with a formal Letter of Offer.
